arrow Leading expert on Caspian regional energy security issues, especially concerning the South Caucasus and Central Asian oil and gas producing and transit countries of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
arrow Energy Adviser to the UK Government’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office. In this role he liaises closely with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC); FCO and DECC Ministers and their staff; Caspian State Governments; international and national investors and their advisers; UK Embassies; academics; and  regional stakeholders. He also works closely with European Commission officials on initiatives to improve understanding of regional energy issues from an EU-wide perspective.
Extensive knowledge of the Middle East and Africa gained from living and working in Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Iran and the Sudan.
Worked with several of the world’s leading oil, gas and energy companies including Italy’s Eni Group and the UK’s British Gas International.
Previously Director of Marketing of PwC’s global energy, utilities and mining practice, where he was based in Houston, Texas for several years.
